Selena
Her career included being a performer, performer and designer who broke through obstacles in the field. She was simultaneously modern and traditional. She was she was a Mexican American who united the two worlds in an unique manner. As is often the case of a brilliant and charming star dies in a hurry, her untimely demise shattered her growing profile. A lot of mourners reacted to her potential, which was untapped. Fans have struggled over the years in order to ensure that her legacy is kept alive. The tragic death by shooting of Tejano singer Selena caused a resurgence within the Latino community which can be likened in the wake of the deaths of Elvis Presley and John Lennon. An enormously popular singer throughout Latino communities throughout North America her music crossed cultural boundaries to touch the lives of children as well as old. Selena has been called by some as a Latina Madonna, however she's still an excellent example to follow. Selena's family values off stage as well as her involvement with AIDS awareness efforts provide a great example.
